Los hechos sucedieron sobre las 8.40 horas, al inicio de este pleno extraordinario, cuando unas 40 personas que asistían como público comenzaron a corear consignas en euskera como "Pucherazo no" y "Democracia para Euskal Herria", mientras portaban una pancarta con el lema "Respetad la voluntad del pueblo. No al pucherazo".
La presidenta del pleno, Susana Corcuera, pidió a estas personas que abandonaran la sala y, ante su negativa, fueron expulsadas una a una por la fuerza por agentes de la guardia urbana, mientras gritaban frases como "Ésta es vuestra paz" y "Ayuntamiento de San Sebastián, fascista".
Tras esta interrupción, los grupos han continuadocon el debate del día.
